We watched Triplets of Belleville finally.
Mr. Jenner enjoyed the animation but found it to be a bit pretentious and arty. Silly boy.
I liked the film quite a bit and it made me think of a silent film in some respects. It was definitely unusual. I liked the short film at the beginning that showed the sisters when they were young and in the orchestra Django Rheinhart was playing and then Josephine Baker was doing her Banana dance. That was kind of a neat little bit.
The Grandmother with her extended shoe reminded me of the film, "The Red Balloon". There was a scene in the movie where the little boy and his balloon receive shelter from the umbrella of an old man who had a similar malady.

....

I see that Pat Tillman the former professional football player who was killed in Afghanistan may have been killed by friendly fire.
That just kind of adds to the general tragedy of this messy situation over there, doesn't it?

And I see the grey sky continues.

Yet I should leave the folks at home with an attractive image to ponder.
(besides the topless picture)

I think it is about time I bought "The Red Shoes

Oooh, ooh, the big cool exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum opens today. I am very excited. Van Gogh to Mondrian! People should visit just to go and see it with me.

First of all, I'm extremely jealous that you all have such an awesome exhibit there! The last cool one that came to Arizona was like 3 years ago.

I've been wanting to watch the Triplets and I've been hearing such good things that I will have to just do it. I already love the music!

I've always wanted to see Van Gogh's work up close, but have never had the opportunity. I have this weird desire to see every brushstroke and every color he used, as though I would be inspired by it.

I have seen a few other Van Goghs in person and they tend to be...frenetic and claustrophobic.
His mania kind of seeps into the room.

wtf moment of the film

And then Fred Astaire's shoes ate him.
