I think part of my poor mood is having to come into work and deal with "David Brent". I had the pleasure of working with him. I asked him, "so what needs to be taken care of." He says in that always condescending tone. "Well I think you do shelving. You have done shelving before right?" I nearly killed him right there with the copy machine. I said, "No...I am not doing shelving. I am here to help you get your job done." (because the fucker never can do his fucking job without the help of someone else thankyouveryfuckingmuch)
He then proceeded to explain in great detail to me how to do something that I have been trained specifically to do. I looked at him and said, "yeah...I know how that works."
I then proceeded to freaking organize all of his damn stuff, place everything there and organize how everything should be labeled. I quickly finished and then helped my new favorite co-worker. Rick is the most awesome person around. I think I want him to be my big brother. He knows how to do his job, he is very funny and he doesn't take it all too seriously.

I am also having these chronic headaches. I am finding myself to be good friends with painkillers.

I am getting reacquainted with bipolar meds myself, today (see my most recent LJ entry for full, unedifying explanation). This is probably a day that should not have happened.

Ah. Good post. I relate though.

The past few days have felt absolutely blah. Things keep completely ruining a slightly happy moment.

It comes down to being August. I hate August so much.

I thought you'd relate given your own posts on similar subjects lately.

You know, there might be something to this August thing. August last year was basically the onset of illness and had its other difficult moments, to say the least. The prior August, I finally came over to this firm, and found out things were not as they had been advertised, to say the least.

Plus usually it is hot as hell around here in August. We are blessed (thank you! thank you!) that we don't have that problem this year, at least.

Yeah, I've been taking painkillers like there's no tomorrow (and no incipient liver damage). Lately my legs, and especially my ankle, throb so much at night that I can't sleep unless I take a tylenol. What's up with that?! Plus I've been clenching my jaw, so my teeth ache. :(
Are you prone to migraines? Or tension headaches?

From the sounds of your symptoms...I think you might want to try and take calcium.

Hmm... that's a good idea. I eat so much cheese and yogurt that I doubt I'm calcium-deficient, but it's worth giving it a try. I think it's also that my sprained ankle from a few months ago gets sore from walking. And I clench my teeth and grind them in my sleep from stress...I want to get a mouthguard but I didn't have time to have one made before I left. Maybe I'll get one over Christmas.
How is your headache? Hope you feel better soon. I think the heat partly to blame... it always seems to make headaches worse.

My Mom found that she had that kind of aching (she has sprained her ankle so many times that there is hardly any tendons left.)
She found that even with all the products with calcium in it (including orange juice) a supplement eases the aches.
Also B-complex vitamins help.

Well, I will definitely try it. Thanks for the advice! Now I only hope that I can find some supplements that aren't in the form of a suppository or a fizzy tablet!

Maybe I can find some..

Oh, no, it's okay, I can just add it to my list. I have a friend coming at the beginning of September who is bringing me a few things. I'm just wondering if what I need is a general supplement with calcium and b-vitamins or that plus extra calcium? What did your mom do?

Um my Mom takes a calcium pill and a B vitamin bill every morning and every evening. She started doing it when she was pregnant with my brother and hasn't stopped.
This is a woman who will never have a hunch-back or brittle bones or worry about bone density loss as she gets older.

Never trust a man with 2 first names.

Like Richard Peter. *giggles* Or David Brent.

Say Hi, I'm Jane Kate.

*laughs*
His real name is something irritating.
He is from Hawaii and is part Chinese and he is the foremost living expert on Asian Culture, Asian food, vegetarian cuisine, Hawaiian food and well everything else under the sun. He likes to pronounce his last name with a slight accent to show off how hip he is.

I figure I should change certain names to protect the guilty.
