laundry tips with me.

I am so pleased. I had ballpoint pen marks on a shirt I rather liked and the marks didn't come out when I did a regular laundry job. So I did a little research and found something that said if you applied hair spray to the marked area it should come out. It encouraged to use something cheap like Aqua-net. I used some Aussie freeze hold stuff I had lying around, scrubbed at the spots a bit and heckfire it did come out for the most part. I then put the shirt in the washer and everything came out.

Just a little tip to pass on.

Now I need to go and pick up my brother Tom from the airport. YAY I am the good sister.

Rubbing alcohol gets permanent marker off various surfaces, or so I discovered years ago when there was a giant, black permanent marker streak on the side of our computer monitor. Hit it with a little rubbing alcohol and it was as if it never happened.

Liquid dishwashing soap helps get grease-based stains out of clothing as well.


As a side note: Thank you for the lovely Christmas card. I'm so terrible and didn't get around to making up some to send. I'm shooting for "Happy New Year" instead.

Isn't that stuff amazing. I found this great book called, The Field guide to stains. I think I need it.
