This afternoon we went out for a walk. I bought some rabbit feed and the paper. I stopped to look at Dahlia bulbs at the near-by nursery and then we went to the near-by video store and rented a couple of things for the weekend. There is something rather nice about an independent video place that is within a few blocks. Netflix seems like a dandy option and all of that but I fear I would never ever leave the house again if offered that option all of the time. I think this is a slightly safer bet. I will be forced to leave the house to rent things and return things.
Tonight as requested by Mr. Jenner I made shrimp risotto and we watched Thirteen. Neither one of us had seen it so we thought nothing goes better with risotto like horrifying/depressing films about teen-aged girls out of control.
Dear lord. I think I will put any daughters I have in a convent or a tower until they are thirty. Maybe thirty-five. We also rented The More the Merrier.
A nice little dichotomy within film genres.
I think I may end up watching 'The More the Merrier' by myself. I suspect Mr. Jenner lacks the patience for films that are in black and white.
I suppose I could fold laundry but that would be too sensible.

Date: 2005-02-26 05:12 pm (UTC)I was always a bossy strict big sister, I am going to be a mean strict Mommy.
There is no way in hell I would let any girl of mine leave the house dressed like those girls. NO WAY!
If I wanted to wear a really short skirt when I was growing up my Mom always had me wear shorts underneath. heh
