Today I will share a moment of dorkiness with you that will either endear me to you or cause you to not let me near your pets. Take yer pick.
Before I get into what I was doing I will explain some things. People who have small children of their own or who hang out with small people on a regular basis might be familiar with the PBS show, Arthur which is based on the terrific picture books by Marc Brown. I suspect a few of you will be cheering and giving testimonials about how great Arthur is and just like me your favorite episode was when Mr. Rogers appeared and Buster Bunny nearly had a stroke because he was so excited to meet Mr. Rogers and he began to act out scenes from his favorite episodes of Mr. Rogers. If you are still sticking with me at this point I admire you. I should explain I am very familiar with this show because my two youngest siblings used to watch this when they were little kids and at the time they enjoyed the show very much. One of the throw-away jokes on the show (and there were many because it is cool like that, much like the Electric Company) was a reference to a television show that the Arthur's sister D.W. liked to watch. It was called Crazy Bus (yes there are lyrics) and one kinda got the impression it was making fun of things like Barney and such because it has this irritating theme where they repeat the words, "Crazy Bus" over and over again. It is kind of an ear worm. It has kind of taken on a life of its own in my head. When I read articles about Tom Cruise and his latest bout of crazy the song becomes, "crazy tom, crazy tom, riding on the crazy bus..."
Then it got a little crazier. I just called into work (because I was on-call) and they said, "have a nice day, you don't have to work." I said, "yay" got off the phone and went back to playing with the rabbits and in my head I heard, "happy day, happy day, riding on a crazy bus." *snorts* Yeah. I am waiting for the people in the white coats to show up with a butterfly net.
Now I shall make something pretty for dinner, take care of some errands, convince the bunnies not to misbehave and have tea with Mr. Jenner.

Date: 2005-07-21 05:34 pm (UTC)I think it is the fact that I finally had a decent night's sleep last night that did me in.
