The post has been good as of late.
I received a post-card from a friend in Italy who mentions the heat and the hot boys. I received a post-card from a friend in Paris. She mentions pretty things as well. Then....today I received a letter from another lovely person. She told a funny story about her wedding and how her Mother in-law said, "That's enough Chad" when he was kissing her at the end of the ceremony. I shall have to respond.

We are acquiring a fun collection of post-cards on the Fridge. There are ones that high-light a drive-in in Tacoma, the state of Michigan, Italy, Paris, Queensland Australia (that is from Mr. Jenner's brother who is spending the Summer there with his girlfriend and her son) Dogs, art and everything else.

It breaks up the boredom of bills and junk mail.

Today at work I began to co-write a twisted story about a man and his peculiar ritual while hunting.

I am also in the midst of a book that is so frightening at times when it comes to the discussion of Chinese cuisine that I seem like a genuine wuss. There is a scene where the person thinks they are eating lima beans that are coated in a strange sauce but they find out after they had eaten them that they are baby mice coated in honey. Yeah. Makes eating dog seem normal.

Don't even get me started on the monkey.

But back to happy food chatter, after a long hot day at work I went and had gelato. The cute boy who works at the one gelato place was there. He always finds a way to serve me. Today he went all the way down to the basement to get me a single scoop of the riso gelato that I am mad about. Now that is service. I had a scoop of that and the peach (or pesca as the Italians say it) It was what I needed. The peach was so rich and delicious and I love the little chewy rice bits in the riso. I also acquired pretty shampoo today. Nothing like over-priced shampoo.

Tonight for dinner I put together some carmelized shallots, sauteed bell pepper, salmon and chopped basil with some pasta. It was sexy delicious and healthy. Along with that we had a spinach salad and crostinis with warmed goat cheese.

Mr. Jenner found out yesterday that his cholesterol is slightly high so he needs more fish. And more fish it is. I have accidentally tried to kill the man with all the butter, bacon and cheese I feed him. I told him once we are married I will be mean and insist on a lot of healthier food so he won't die. He can die of other things but not heart disease.
