New lusting thoughts lead to luggage. I have some dandy luggage. Love it to pieces and it can take the abuse of travel. Yet it isn't pedestrian friendly. Since we are going to be train-dependent in Italy in October I am looking for things that can be carried easily and of good quality. Right now I am being lured by Floto luggage. Even on Ebay it can be pricey. I need to find something that will quell my urges.

[livejournal.com profile] ballke and hubby took a small backpack each for their 3 week trip to Italy. They just washed their clothes frequently. After lugging a 4.5 ft duffle bag around 1/2 of Europe I kinda wish I had just washed my laundry more often.

I am thinking that the frequent laundry thing would be a good idea.

A cold shower may work.

I'd advise something not too noticeable or expensive looking for Italy :-)

cold showers? never.

That is what I am debating. I figure something basic black and useful.

That's nice stuff, though.

I love the floto girl. Being a fan of short hair and tiny breasts.

If I didn't know any better I would think you had gone through the English boarding school system. *snorts*

I recommend small bags and lots of hotel laundry.

I remember thinking "I could ditch all of my luggage in an alley and no one would know" because I was soooooooo exhausted from dragging my luggage around the train station and the streets of Florence. The luggage including my Mira Couture wedding dress. AND I WANTED TO DUMP IT! BEFORE MY WEDDING!!

Needless to say a year and a half later I dumped the groom. But, I still think about how much I hated carrying around that luggage.

Yeah that is what I am thinking of doing. I figure small bags and laundry. Also Rick Steves suggest that. The only really difficult part in this is deciding which shoes do I take a long. I have to break that one down. Oh it will be so hard.

I shipped shoes to my hotels. It was actually a good way to go. I shipped the shoes home as well.

I also hid Kiehls samples in the shoe boxes, just incase I went dry or had luggage missing.

I'm lame.

shipping shoes....nice.
I think I will attempt to keep it to three pairs or so. Or maybe I could buy a pair there and then sell them or mail them home.
