We were watching the show last night [it's on PBS Sprout] and commenting on how much better the books were [as is often the case].

I loved reading those books, as a child. I think I still have a few, somewhere.

The books were terrific. My Mom has our books. Oh man they were my crack-cocaine as a child.

I must have read and re-read the copies I owned at least a million times. And then there were The Babysitters Club series, The Chronicles of Narnia, Serendipity books, The Mr. Men and Little Miss books, anything by Judy Blume, Golden Books, the choose your own adventure series... I rarely left my room.

I do still have a few of my childhood books, but it makes me feel almost sick to my stomach that we either gave away, misplaced, or sold so many of them in the past years. It would've been nice to have them for Molly. Although little miss is still in the chewing-on-everything stage. Damn puppies kids.

Thankfully a lot of those books are readily available in print so you can acquire them. (though the babysitter club books aren't really carried anymore but you can find them in a lot of places online)

They were so much fun. Plus they are still really inexpensive books so even po' chilluns like myself could have them.

I do believe that God is angry with us and we need to give an offering to make things kosher with him/her.

Aw.

For some reason, the way the bears' feet were drawn always made me happy.

don't feel bad.
He and his wife wrote a well known series of books for children in America.

Very fun stuff.

I always liked those books. My favorite was the time sister bear went to the sleepover and it ended up becoming a big crazy party and all the parents were pissed off. Especially mama bear....heh. Those were fun books, even if mama bear was a bit of a hard-ass at times.

Mama-Bear has to be a bit of a hard-ass sometimes. Comes with the territory.

NO!!! I loved those books, my grandparents had them at their house. They kept them in this blue cupboard, I would always get them out during Christmas when they still lived in their house and I was still just a kid.
