Japan has a really interesting culture. It is very very common for women to take up a traditional role once she marries and has children. I understand it can be a lonely existence. The husband is gone all day working; he might then spend a few hours in a bar with his friends and then he comes home and is attended to. The sexual culture is really peculiar too. It is this mesh of extreme repression and extreme wallowing in taboo subjects and actions.
