As promised, the gennie perspective on the east-side party.
I do believe this shall bring us up to speed.

I genuinely had a nice time. I saw John, Claire and a few other people I had not seen in awhile. The food was great, it varied from classic (cocktail weiners) to original (red licorice dipped in chocolate) It was a surprise party for John's birthday, a belated party. Everyone drank heartily, made catty comments after the alcohol was properly in our systems, and was merry, like some men who hang out in a forest stealing money from rich people.
Then we had a visitor. Yes, Jim. The infamous neighbor of Becca and Sue. He apparently has one cocktail glued to one hand constantly, and likes to brag that he has never been married and has a 29 year old girlfriend.
Jim is real fun. He was making lurid comments to all of the girls, attempting to dance, and was generally a drunken fool, who fell out of the bushes onto the deck of this party.
yes...well...
I do admit after having a few drinks, I become increasingly sarcastic (I don't want to hear any sarcastic gasps....you know who you are) and he made a comment, "I remember being 22, and you guys missed all of the fun, we had such fun when I was young" and I said, "if fun you mean, getting really stoned, giving eachother the clap and creating bands like blue oyster cult, then oh yeah, it was HIP fun" He turned to me, said, "careful what you say little missy. I could nail your dirty little muffin hard you lil' bitch"
SCARY MAN SCARY MAN.
I ran with claire into the house and we hid in the bedroom.
He soon left, because everyone found that comment, scary, and incredibly icky.
ICK. I would not let that man near my muffin with a ten mile pole.
Then in a moment of inspiration, people wanted to go to the Shark Club. I had never been, but I am polite.
Kristy showed up in her new BMW, quite a pretty car and some of us hopped in and went there.
I am not entirely familiar with Kirkland but I was intrigued when I noticed a huge population of young people hanging out, doing nothing. Just standing around. It reminded me of being in junior high, and waiting to go back into the building after lunch and all most of us would do is stand around, milling about like lost chickens.
The sharkclub...it is very um...khaki.
This is where the post-greek crowd goes to "chill and kick it ol'skool" I felt a little scared, a lot of polo shirts, khaki pants and girls who have skin the same shade as a carrot.
the music lacked a lot....
We left when Emily was losing the ability to stand.
We decided to go home and sleep.
to sum it up:
sleep is good.
the shark is not so good.
cocktails weiners very good
Jim, NOT GOOD
hangover? none.
the sight of seeing people in heels running around drunk: priceless.

The fact that he called it a "muffin" scares me more than the threat itself.

the fact that he thought my muffin was dirty was even more shocking.

It is doubtlessly purer than the purest of angel foods.
