lovely, no?
Jul. 17th, 2002 02:52 amI put together something lovely on a summers day, for dinner.
I cooked a salmon (which I received a nice deal on, partly because the guy helping us at the fish market, was someone I fooled around with once or twice when we were teenagers and he always smiles wildly at me whenever I see him) and he remains flirtatious, with blazing blue eyes.
ah youth.
I laid thin slices of lemon and onion on the inside and then inserted into slits in the skin, cloves of garlic and baked for about 20 minutes. to accompany it, I put together roasted potatoes, and a ceaser salad. It was light all around.
Then for dessert souffle. I thought about making another lemon one, because I am fond of it and we had plenty of lemons. But kitty piped in, "I am so tired of lemon souffles"
Now there is a statement to sit and dwell upon.
"I am so tired of driving astin martins"
heh
so I made a chocolate souffle instead. I used less sugar and dark unsweetened chocolate and it produced a nice rich deep flavor. It rose beautifully in the oven and it was eaten quickly. I do believe everyone stuffed themselves.
There is some salmon left, so I may make some french bread and then put that together with an omlette with salmon and green onions. A nice dinner, not too complicated. Maybe with a green salad. And strawberries and cream for dessert. I shall think about it.

Date: 2002-07-17 11:01 am (UTC)buy chicken breasts. Stick in bowl covered with italian dressing for two days. Preheat oven and stick them in. Watch your cooking. It comes out good. Wash bowl and baking dish. Wrap up what you don't eat.

Date: 2002-07-17 10:28 am (UTC)But seriously, sounds like good stuff. Just reading the preparation made my bachelor laziness kick in. I'm thinkin' 400 degrees for 20 minutes after it's out of the frozen plastic, and I'm eatin'!
