A truly glam life.
Jan. 4th, 2009 08:50 amI dropped Mr. Jenner off at the airport very early this morning. (had the fun of getting ice off of the windows in the cold dark. What is it with me having to do unpleasant tasks in the cold early morning dark?) He is off to Lake Tahoe for his company's annual meeting. He returns Friday just in time for rush-hour. What fun eh?
As we approached the airport and got into the lane for Departures things suddenly slowed down. That is when we saw a police car and then some flares and an ambulance leaving. We saw the car and it was quite apparent that there had been quite a fire. It wasn't pretty. What a way for someone to start their Sunday morning.
Senor Onion and I have been eating English Muffins and watching some episodes of In the Night Garden. Through the power of the internet and Mr. Jenner's ability to cobble together a means of which to watch stuff from the internet on our television we can watch all sorts of entertaining things. Though at the moment it is all about Makka-Pakka and Upsy-Daisy. *closes eyes* Maybe I can talk him into a Mr. Men show.
Today My Mother and two of my siblings are coming over for a visit. It should be pretty entertaining and I look forward to any local gossip. I am not quite sure what I will make for dinner yet but I think it might be some sort of stew. Last night I made lamb meatloaf and baked potatoes. (there were vegetables too but they weren't the high-light of the meal) I felt after the week we had we needed something that was deeply comforting. We ate and everyone felt sleepy and contented.
The insurance company just called. They are coming out to visit on Wednesday to see the state of things. Mind you things are rather dry downstairs and so on but it isn't pretty. Should I make him tea and offer him cake to make him more pliable about paying for this mess?
