Tomorrow will be a family day out with the cousins and assorted family. It will be fun. There will be laughs, there will be tears, maybe a few breakdowns along the way. It always an adventure. Maybe there will be some talk about a family party coming up. My in laws will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and noises were made about doing something for the occasion. As in my Mother in law said, "it would be nice if someone organized something." So it seems my sister in law and I are organizing something. She mentioned what her husband said about potential numbers. I said, "oh. So it will be like Christmas dinner." Some have heard tales of Jenner family Christmas when there are 25+. There will be more than that. I have ideas. I have kind of taken a unilateral approach because this is how it will get done. I did declare that the men will be in charge of the children while others are cooking, and if they don't tend to their duties, the men won't eat. I took inspiration from "Orange is the New Black" with that whole starving someone out business.
It took me about five minutes to figure out a potential menu, now to run it past assorted family where I pretend to ask their opinion but really that is a formality, and then sit down with my sister in law to organize the rest.
