Let's be thankful we have large stomachs.

So far things are going as planned. (knock on wood)

For Our Thanksgiving menu we are having Turkey with Stuffing. Andrew is making roasted potatoes, we are also having sweet potatoes, brussell sprouts (raw carrots for Andrew), cranberry sauce, rolls, and the world famous jello salad.

Along with that we shall have olives, bread and butter pickles and pickled herring.

I admit pickled herring is an acquired taste but we love it in our family. I told Andrew he didn't have to try it.

For dessert we shall keep it simple. Lemon Meringue Pie, Pumpkin Pie and my sister Kit is bringing brownies.
I suspect the brownies will taste great with the pumpkin ice cream.

We hope to come out of our coma three days from now.

In happy happy news one of the local PBS stations is showing "Meet Me in Saint Louis". Can we say Miss Gennie is a happy girl?
*dances around the room for awhile and then checks on the turkey*

I'll have to ask my sister if she has it. We were at my brother in laws brothers house. So they are responsible :o)

Sounds like a clever idea. I should start collecting as many sweet potato recipes as humanly possible.
