I keep having dreams about being in world traveler plus. I can't even let myself think about world traveler club. I just want something to put my feet up on without losing the blood in my legs. You can't even stand up straight in coach.
I despise people who travel in the forward cabins. I detest them roundly. By the end of the flight I am ready to massacre them.
And some of them have the nerve to complain how little sleep they got!
The gall!
I find a good method to make the journey go faster is: 1) Read magazines until the meal arrives 2) Drink several bottles of wine before and during the meal 3) Put on headphones with MP3 player 4) Put neck cushion on 5) Put blanket around self and *over head* (so shutting out light) 6) Snore loudly for 9 hours
It works for me, anyway. Of course on your journey back you may have the Indian Curry with Naan Bread which is so delicious it almost makes the journey worthwhile.
Someday I may kill someone if they say they had trouble sleeping in the forward cabins.
1.I read and read and read and read. I also enjoy watching a few of the fine comedies they show. 2.Oy...such a bad idea. if I touch booze or caffeine on the plane I look like I just walked through the Sahara. 3.often helps. 4.I keep meaning to get one. *puts that on her list of things to do* 5. The problem with the blanket thing is they like to come around and wake you up to see if you have your seatbelt on. 6. I do not snore.
I usually just try and relax and zone out on the movies.
Happy Christmas to you both from the three Boddington Pints. Dreaming about Chritsmas in England and afternoon country walks to the pub. Have a safe trip.
Did you make that sound when you took off? If not, I recommend you shouting, "VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as you lif off on the way back. Children will love you.
Stewardesses might give you extra alcohol to keep you sedated. Win win I say.
I didn't yell vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmm this time. One time we were on a plane and a small child behind me did that. Hilarious stuff.
Did you applaud? One must reinforce this sort of behavior. I'd pay extra money if the pilot did that during take off over the speakers.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please take you seat. Crew prepare for take off.... VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" *krch*
If you do, please be so kind as to share the story. Take pictures if you can. Pictures help maintain the narrative thread. If you lose the narrative thread, Martin Scorsese will make you do it over again.
People might think you're the long lost teletubbie, I'd avoid that confusion at all costs if I were you. You have no idea what a two year old might try to stick up an orifice.
